The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Mining and Reclamation, 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416, will hold an informal conference beginning at 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Helvetia Community,Building located at 4916 Old Helvetia Road, Helvetia, WV 26224. The purpose of the hearing is to allow comments from those people having an interest which is or may be adversely affected by the Renewal of Carter Roag Coal Company permit O003185 to monitor, maintain, and operate a coal refuse disposal area. The operation is discharging into the Left Fork of the Buckhannon River; Left Fork of Unnamed Tributary of Left Fork of Buckhannon River all of the Tygart Valley River of Monongahela River and is located 4.3 miles east of Helvetia in the Middle Fork District of Randolph County. This meeting is being held in accordance with Chapter 22, Article 3, Section 20 of the Code of West Virginia.
