LEGAL NOTICE – BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 8A, ARTICLE 24 OF THE CODE OF WEST VIRGINIA, AS AMENDED, AND THE PARKERSBURG ZONING ORDINANCE A-2530 AS ADOPTED ON FEBRUARY 27, 1973, THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS WILL HOLD A PUBLIC MEETING AT 6:30 P.M., ON JANUARY 20, 2021, IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE PARKERSBURG MUNICIPAL BUILDING, ONE GOVERNMENT SQUARE, PARKERSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA, TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING APPEALS:
1. Applicant/Owner: Parkersburg Housing Authority, 1901 Cameron Ave.
Requesting a 100% variance from ordinance 1363.02 (2) (a) (1) and (b) which requires landscaping for 5 feet
in width along the sides of parking lots and 3 feet
along the rear. This is located in an R-2 district.
2. Applicant/Owner: George Dana Miller, 601 Neal Street.
Requesting permission for a variance to install a Class
A, Type II, new Manufactured Home (Doublewide)
on the lot located at 601 Neal Street, in an R-3 District.
3. Applicant/Owner: Leo & Sandra Chaddock,
2136 17th Street
Requesting a variance for 960 sq. ft. on a lot located at
2136 17th Street, in an R-3 District, in order to construct
a future single family dwelling.
4. Applicant: WVUP Owner/Parkersburg Art Center,
801 Market Street
Requesting a variance to install an off-premise,
marquee pole sign at the corner of 8th and Market
Street, in a B-3 District. The sign would be located
12 feet from the curb, per approval of the West Virginia
Department of Transportation,be a total of 16′ tall, and
be used to advertise community events for the Art
Center and surrounding agencies.
5. Applicant/Owner: 425 Juliana LLC dba Clean & Clear
Advantage, 425 Juliana Street
Requesting a variance to maintain 3 ground signs on
their property in a B-3 District.
6. Applicant/Owner: International Conservation Holiness
Association dba Hope Mission, 1300 Lynn Street
Requesting a conditional use to operatate a
multipurpose, not-for-profit mission, to minister to the
needs of people in the community, in an R-4 District.
