Proposed Wirt County Schools’ Bus Garage Rubber Membrane Roof Removal and Installation Project
A pre-bid conference relating to the Proposed Wirt County Schools’ Bus Garage Rubber Membrane Roof Removal and Installation Project will be held at the Wirt County Board of Education, located at 389 Mulberry Street, Elizabeth, WV 26143. The pre-bid will take place on July 13, 2021, at 1:00PM. Contractors in attendance at the meeting will be able to look at and assess project area at Wirt County Schools Bus Garage, located at 537 Mulberry Street, Elizabeth, WV 26143. Following completion of the pre-bid conference, sealed bids for the Proposed Wirt County Schools’ Bus Garage Rubber Membrane Roof Removal and New Installation Project will be accepted until July 19, 2021, at 1:00 PM. This is the final deadline for project bid submittals. The sealed bid needs to be received at Wirt County Board of Education, 389 Mulberry Street, Elizabeth, WV, 26143, or via mail at Wirt County Board of Education, PO Box 189, Elizabeth, WV 26143, prior to the aforementioned deadline. Bids must be labeled “Wirt County Schools’ Bus Garage Roofing Project”. Immediately following the closing time of the reception of the bids, all proposal, which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions and terms of the proposed project, will have their Contract Documents publicly opened and read aloud. The Wirt County Board of Education reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids.
The project specifications include providing all labor and materials to complete the following tasks:
1. Remove approximately 3250 square feet of existing rubber membrane roofing
2. Install approximately 3250 square feet of new
rubber membrane roofing
3. Remove and replace all damaged decking
4. Remove existing downspouts and install new
downspouts
5. Remove existing gutter and install new gutter
6. Remove existing roof boots and install new roof boots
7. Remove existing coping material and install new
coping material
8. Provide and install preformed saddles, crickets,
tapered edge strips, and other insulation shapes where indicated for sloping to allow for roof drainage
9. Other project specifications detailed in the
hand-out provided at pre-bid
10. Dispose of all debris and haul away
Checklist for Bidding; includes the following:
1. Provide copy of liability insurance
2. Provide copy of WV Worker’s Compensation coverage
3. Business License
4. Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit
5. Complete W-9
6. Complete No Debt Affidavit
7. If bid is over $25,000 (bond will be required)
