PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGE IN RATES WITH PROPOSED EFFECTIVE DATES

PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGE IN RATES WITH PROPOSED EFFECTIVE DATES

NOTICE is hereby given that Union Williams Public Service District, a public utility, has filed with the PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF WEST VIRGINIA, a tariff containing increased rates, tolls and charges for furnishing water to approximately 3,212 customers in portions of the Union and Williams Magisterial Districts of Wood County and Grant Magisterial District, Pleasant County, West Virginia.

The proposed increased rates and charges will become effective December 15, 2016, unless otherwise ordered by the Public Service Commission.

The District proposes a two-step regular rate change, and an emergency rate increase request.

The first step of the regular rate change, to be in effect for approximately two years, will produce approximately $216,893 annually in additional revenue, an increase of approximately 19.6{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}. The second step of the regular rate change, to be in effect until a further order of the PSC changing the District’s rates, will produce approximately $75,135 less in revenue than the first step of the regular rate change, a decrease of approximately 5.7{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}.
