Request for Public Comment and Questions
Reduction of Saturday Route Service
The Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority (MOVTA) located at 520 Juliana Street, Parkersburg, WV in Wood County, is encouraging public comments regarding the reduction of Saturday Route service.
Due to driver shortages and low ridership numbers and our desire to remain good purveyors of public funding, the Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority is proposing a reduction in service by reinstating the Loop Routes on Saturdays. The North and South Loop will run once an hour on the hour, and the Vienna Loop will run on the hour and half-hour. The hours of operation on Saturdays will be from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
All comments and questions will be reviewed at the office of the Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority located at 520 Juliana Street, Parkersburg, WV from 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
The public comment period will run from May 30, 2025, to June 20, 2025. A public comment session will take place on June 19, 2025, from 5:00pm-6:00pm in the conference room located at 520 Juliana Street, Parkersburg, WV. Additionally, a public comment session will be held at the Vienna Public Library, located at 2300 River Road, Vienna, WV, June 20, 2025, from 5:00pm-6:00pm.
