ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Board of Education of the County of Monongalia, Morgantown, WV, will receive bids for Bid Package No. 8 – Furnishings and Equipment Work for a new Suncrest Elementary School, Suncrest, WV until 1:30 p.m. local prevailing time on the 18th day of June, 2015, at the office of the Monongalia County Board of Education, 13 South High Street, Morgantown, WV, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference, for Bid Package No. 8 Furnishings and Equipment Contractors, has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on May 26, 2015, at the office of the Monongalia County Board of Education, 13 South High Street, Morgantown, West Virginia. A site visit will follow.

The contract documents including plans and specifications are on file at the Office of the Board of Education; Office of Williamson Shriver Architects, 717 Bigley Avenue, Charleston, WV 25302; WV; Pittsburgh Builder’s Exchange, Pittsburgh, PA; Ohio Valley Construction Employer’s Council, Inc., Wheeling, WV; Contractor’s Association of WV, Charleston, WV; Kanawha Valley Builders Association, Charleston, WV; Construction Employers Association of NC WV, Fairmont, WV; Parkersburg/Marietta Contractors Association, Parkersburg, WV.

Copies of the documents may be obtained by Furnishings and Equipment Contractors by depositing $50.00 with the Architect for each set of documents so obtained. The amount of the deposit will be refunded to each actual bidder who returns the plans and specifications in good condition within ten (10) days after the date of opening bids. The deposits will be refunded if documents are returned in good condition; otherwise, deductions will be made in an amount not to exceed the actual cost of reproduction. Those who do not submit bids will forfeit deposit unless sets are returned in good condition at least five (5) days before the bid date.

Each Bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue prior to the time and date for Receipt of Bids in order for his Bid to be considered. Each Bidder’s registration certificate number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal.

All bidders are required to be licensed to perform work in the State prior to submitting a bid for this project as required by Chapter 21, Article 11, of the Code of West Virginia. Each bidder’s Contractor license number shall be written in the space provided on the Form of Proposal.

The Board of Education of the County of Monongalia, Morgantown, West Virginia, reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in an amount equal to five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the total amount of bid, payable to the Board of Education of the County of Monongalia, Morgantown, West Virginia, shall be submitted with each Bid.

Each (The) successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond and the fee for same shall be included in their bid.

No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for at least thirty (30) days.
