MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST
The Thunderbird Sale is located within Compartment 78, Randolph County, 25 miles northeast of Bartow, WV, in the headwaters of Gandy Creek. The Forest Service will receive Sealed bids at Forest Supervisor’s Office, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins, WV 26241 before or at the time of public bid opening at 2:00 PM local time on 10/24/2024 for an estimated volume of 437 CCF of Black Cherry sawtimber, 1668 CCF of Maple (RM, SM) sawtimber, 138 CCF of Hardwood – Other (Bi, Hem, RP,) sawtimber, and 1193 CCF of
Pulpwood marked or otherwise designated for cutting. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below. A prospectus, bid form, and complete information concerning the timber, the conditions of sale, and submission of bids is available to the public from the Cheat Ranger District, 459 Nursery Bottom Road, Parsons, WV 26287, Forest Supervisor’s Office, or visit:
