REQUEST FOR BIDS

 

The Wood County Commission is seeking sealed bids for the demolition of two private dwellings located in the Happy Valley area. The scope of work will entail the removal of all debris resulting from said demolition, as well as site restoration following the demolition. Said dwellings have been purchased by the Wood County Commission through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the WV Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Friday, September 4th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Council, 531 Market Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101. All interested contractors, or their representatives, must be present to be eligible to bid. Bids will be accepted at the Wood County Courthouse Administrator’s office until Monday, September 21st, 2015 at 9:30 a.m., at which time they will be opened and read aloud. If a bid is awarded, all work must be completed within 30 days.

The Wood County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Bid Specifications, Form of Bid, and other related documents will be available at the mandatory pre-bid conference. Each bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount and form and subject to conditions provided in the bid package.
