NOTICE
PUBLIC HEARING
The Board of Education of the County of Marion will hold three Public Hearings, regarding the ten (10) year Comprehensive Educational Facility Plan (CEFP), which will chart the course for the school system facilities through the year 2030, and must be approved by the Board of Education, the West Virginia State Board of Education, and the School Building Authority of West Virginia. The CEFP includes, but is not limited to grade configurations, enrollment history, projections, and enrollment sizes for schools, number of schools that can be operated within the school budget, and conditions of schools. The hearings will be held on November 9, 2020 at North Marion High School Auditorium,
November 10, 2020 at Fairmont Senior High Auditorium and November 12, 2020 at East Fairmont High Auditorium. All three public hearings will be held at 6:00 PM. The hearings provide an opportunity for the public to ask questions about the plan, provide comments regarding the proposed plan and/or submit statements on the proposed plan. The plan is posted online at www.marionboe.com with an opportunity to comment online and is also on file at the Marion County Board of Education, office of the Superintendent.
